Lagunita Creek Ecological Shelter in the Sarstun River
This natural reserve was named Sarstun River Multiple Use Area and is located in the frontier between Guatemala and Belize. This reserve is essentially composed of marine mangroves and spectacular fresh water lagoons. The Lagunita Creek Ecological Shelter has many amenities, aquatic and land trails that complement the attraction in a location where all visitors will want to return again.
The Lagunita Creek Ecological Shelter has 4 rooms: 3 rooms have 2 bunk beds. 1 room is ideal for a couple. It has a bathroom and private shower. It also has windows facing the forest where you can enjoy a beautiful morning over the mangroves. Please enjoy the best regional food at this location.
An aquatic trail leads visitors to Lagunita Creek as well as to a land trail that has a 1 mile circuit. You may choose to sail through the mangrove forest. You also have at your disposal 7 professional grade kayaks (5 double and 2 individual) as well as all security equipment for your safety.
